Melanie Jones

Melanie Elizabeth Jones is a fun loving and energetic musician from the greater New York City area. For years, Melanie has been a mentor and educator for students aged three to nineteen. Her experience includes teaching the marching bands and percussion groups at Brookfield High School, Stamford High School, Danbury High School, and Westhill High School. Melanie has also assisted in some music lessons at Ellsworth Avenue Elementary, Shelter Rock Elementary, and Broadview Middle School in Danbury. Over the summers, Melanie has been the music director at the Italian Center of Stamford for young campers.
As a percussionist, Melanie has traveled throughout the United States competing and performing with multiple ensembles. She currently serves as the President of the WCSU Percussion Club.
Melanie will be graduating from Western Connecticut State University in May 2018 with her undergraduate degree in PreK-12 Music Education. Melanie has taught a wide variety of music lessons including woodwind, brass, percussion, string, and piano.
Melanie teaches Music for Little Mozarts classes at Galina Music in Ridgefield, CT.
